Browsing extensions — bRRAIn Docs

How to navigate the Marketplace, filter and sort the catalog, and read a listing.

Browsing extensions

The Marketplace is built to help you find the right extension fast. This page is a quick tour of how to use it.

Catalog grid

The catalog grid at marketplace.brrain.io (and at brrain.io/marketplace) shows every published extension as a banner-art card. Each card shows:

  • The extension's name and category.
  • A one-line tagline.
  • Pricing model (free / subscription / per-seat / metered).
  • Trust badge (gold = first-party; green = verified publisher).

Cards are responsive — five per row on wide screens, two on tablet, one on phone.

Filtering

Use the filter bar above the grid:

  • Category — single or multiple. Categories are listed at Marketplace categories.
  • Pricing — Free / Paid / Metered.
  • Trust level — first-party only, or verified publishers only.
  • Compatibility — extensions that match your current pod size and tier.

Sorting

  • Popular (default) — install count descending.
  • Newest — most recently published first.
  • Updated — most recently updated first.
  • Name — A→Z.
  • Price — low to high (or free first).

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K on Windows / Linux) on any Marketplace page to open a search box. Search runs over titles, taglines, descriptions, and the full body text of each extension's listing.

Reading a listing

Clicking any card opens that extension's full landing page. The page is structured as:

Hero

  • Banner art.
  • Name + tagline.
  • Primary CTA — Set up your bRRAIn → if you don't have one yet, Install if you do.
  • Secondary CTA — Open the console if you've already installed it.
  • Trust badges and pricing summary.

What it is

A long-form prose description. What the extension does, what problem it solves, what category of user it's built for.

What's inside

A 5–8 bullet feature grid. The marquee capabilities at a glance.

Screenshots

Where the extension has UI, screenshots show it in action. Click any screenshot for a full-size lightbox.

Scopes required

The exact list of scopes the extension needs to function:

  • Vault zones it reads or writes.
  • Integrations it uses.
  • APIs it calls on your behalf.
  • Whether it spawns its own non-human actors.

This is what you'll be asked to approve at install time. Reading it here gives you a chance to think before you commit.

Pricing detail

Full breakdown of the pricing model. Per-seat extensions show the per-seat rate plus minimum seat counts. Metered extensions show the unit price and any included free quota.

Documentation

A link to the extension's documentation here in docs.brrain.io/marketplace/extensions/<slug>. Each extension gets its own user-facing doc page.

Reviews

Verified reviews from current users. Only members who have actively used the extension for at least 30 days can leave a review. Reviews include rating, written feedback, and the reviewer's role and tenure (anonymized to job-family + tenure-bracket).

Cross-sell strip

"More from the Marketplace" — 12 banner-art cards for other extensions, weighted toward complementary categories.

Closing CTA

A second Set up your bRRAIn → button at the bottom of the page so you don't have to scroll back up.

Handy filters for common situations

  • "What does my organization already have installed?" — Console → Installed extensions.
  • "What free extensions could help us?" — Pricing filter → Free.
  • "What's just been added?" — Sort by Newest.
  • "What works on my plan?" — Compatibility filter → My organization.

Fresh slide on every nav-pop

The Marketplace mega-dropdown in the global top nav features a rotating slider. The slide rotates every 4 seconds while the dropdown is open and advances by one each time you reopen — so a different extension greets you each time.
