OEM licensing — bRRAIn Docs

Volume-tier licensing for OEM partners — embedding bRRAIn in your own product.

OEM licensing

OEM licensing is for software vendors who embed bRRAIn into their own product. Your customers see your brand; bRRAIn provides the underlying memory engine invisibly.

When OEM is right

  • You're shipping a software product where AI memory is a key capability.
  • You want to brand the entire experience as yours.
  • You're at scale where volume pricing economics make sense.
  • You can support your customers without expecting them to know they're running bRRAIn.

OEM tiers

OEM pricing is volume-tiered:

| Tier | Annual end-customer minimum | Wholesale discount | |---|---|---| | OEM Starter | 50 end-customers | 30% off list | | OEM Growth | 250 end-customers | 40% off list | | OEM Scale | 1,000 end-customers | 50% off list | | OEM Enterprise | 5,000+ end-customers | Negotiated |

Plus:

  • Branded UI Builder is included at OEM Growth and above (otherwise sold separately).
  • Co-marketing fund at OEM Scale and above.
  • Dedicated infrastructure region option at OEM Enterprise.

Engagement

OEM engagements start with a discovery call:

  • Your product and use case.
  • Expected end-customer volume and ramp.
  • Branding requirements.
  • Geographic and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical integration scope.

Followed by:

  • A pilot agreement (3–6 months) to validate fit.
  • A multi-year MSA on conversion to production.
  • Annual reviews to true-up volume and tier.

Branding

OEM-distributed bRRAIn carries your brand:

  • The Console wears your logo, colors, fonts.
  • Member-facing surfaces (app, marketplace, email) carry your brand.
  • Custom domains for every surface (console.your-product.com, app.your-product.com).
  • The bRRAIn brand may appear in a footer attribution by default; this can be removed at OEM Scale and above.

The Branded UI Builder marketplace extension (included at OEM Growth and above) generates signed binaries — iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, browser extension — branded to your specifications.

Customer provisioning

OEM partners typically provision customers programmatically:

  • Use the Partner API POST /oem/customers to create customer organizations.
  • Each customer becomes a separate bRRAIn organization under your OEM agreement.
  • Customer-side branding is auto-applied from your OEM brand profile.
  • You manage customer billing and support.

Multi-tenant operator features

OEM partners often need operator features that single-tenant customers don't:

  • Cross-organization observability (per-customer health from one console).
  • Bulk operations (apply a configuration change across many customers).
  • Operator-managed credentials (a single OAuth client app shared across customers).
  • Customer-tier templates (default plan and configuration for new customers).

These are accessible from the OEM operator portal (separate from the per-customer Console).

Support model

You're the customer's first line. Common patterns:

  • Tier-1 customer support: you.
  • Tier-2 platform support: us, escalated by you.
  • Direct customer access to bRRAIn support is opt-in and configurable.

Pricing to your customers

You set your own pricing. OEM partners typically:

  • Bundle bRRAIn into a product price (your customer doesn't see a per-bRRAIn line item).
  • Offer tier-based pricing matching your product's tiers.
  • Include or upsell premium features (marketplace extensions, support).

Compliance

You're responsible for end-customer compliance promises in your contracts. We provide the underlying compliance posture; you build on it.

For sector-specific deployments (HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, etc.), we provide:

  • Our compliance documentation.
  • Joint audit support.
  • Customer-facing compliance attestations.
  • Data residency commitments.

Termination

OEM agreements include orderly-wind-down provisions:

  • 12 month notice (either side).
  • Continued service to your customers through the wind-down.
  • Customer data export.
  • Optional customer transition to direct bRRAIn (with your consent).
